Squash Blossom
I've wanted this necklace for years, but have put off buying one. I'm thinking about all the crisp button-up shirts and jeans I can wear it with!

Napa - Chappellet Winery
We were recently in Napa on a business trip for my husband's company (he's in the spirits, beer and wine industry) and had the chance to visit several wineries including Etude, Rombauer, Chappellet, Beringer, Stags' Leap and Buena Vista. I'll share more photos in future posts. A highlight of our trip was the tour and dinner with Orvil Chappellet at his beautiful winery. A Magical evening.

Gracias Madre
I go out to LA about every 5-6 weeks and was so happy last time to be taken to Gracias Madre by my good friend Tifani. 100% plant-based Mexican food. You'll never miss your beef, chicken or carnitas! I'm a convert.

Peter Dunham
He's been a favorite LA designer of mine for a long time.I tuned in just to see him when we made guest appearances on Million Dollar Decorator. There's a great spread in Coastal Living of a beach home in Hermosa Beach that he just finished. Enjoy the eye candy!

Maybe Next Year...
I missed it again! Last time held at Manolo Blank exec's Arethusa Farm, the sale moved this year to the Bantam Firehouse. All proceeds go to college scholarships for local kids. They make me proud to have grown up in Litchfield County.

Cuyana - Fewer, better things
I recently received this company's catalog in the mail and it was love at first sight. In fact, Cuyana means "to love" in Quechua. And that's what they want you to do - love the items in your closet. They are fashion purists who want to you pare down you closet and only keep what you love. Buy fewer, better things. Their flagship store is in San Francisco and offers basic shirts, dresses, sweaters and leather goods. As a bonus if you send them your cast-offs, the clothes you are not in love with (on their dime), they will give them away to people who really could use them and you get a $10 credit towards your next purchase.
