COMMUNITY TABLE

Community Table - I didn't get to eat there on my most recent visit to CT, but can't wait to go back this Spring. The executive chef, Joel Viehland, most recently of Noma, a two-star Michelin restaurant in Copenhagen, which was named the 3rd ranked restaurant in the world a few years back when he took over, allows his locally sourced, farm -fresh ingredients to speak for themselves. The restaurant is rustic, yet cozy. They even provide you a sheep skin placed on the backs of the chairs to keep you warm and comfortable. Can't beat that!

BEAN BOOTS BY L.L.BEAN

Going home to CT this Christmas brought back great memories of my childhood growing up in Litchfield County. I attended an all-girl school and wore these boots year round with my uniform. Bean boots were my go to footwear. Now that they are all the rage (lumberjack chic, I hear) and you have to get on a wait list for them, I might just ask Mom to check the attic for mine. Oh mom...

Going to a charity luncheon today. Love this look - leopard coat, black dress. Might wear something like this today - minus the baby on board!

Baby It's Cold Outside

It is officially freezing in Dallas. Thank goodness for this cold weather! My sweaters have been itching to get out of the closet.  A pot of soup with some crusty bread and a salad sounds like tonight's dinner.
